Effect of Prednisolone on Leukocytosis of Rats

Abstract
|
|
|
In order to investigate the effect of prednisolone on leukocytosis of rats we observed changes of total number of -peripheral neutrophilis and lymphocytes from normal rats and prednisolone injected rats. The observation was -made on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 16, 20 and 24 hours after intramuscular injection of prednisolone, respectively.
The results were as follows:
Marked neutrophilic leukocytosis and lymphopenia were observed in the prednisolone-injected rats.
